The By the Bay Museum & Craft Shop is owned & operated by the Lewisporte Area Development Association (LADA). It was formed in 1972. Presently the Museum is in the process of expanding and doubling its display areas, expanding its artifacts collection and exhibits.
The museum and craft shop are located in the old West School, built in1945. The building is located overlooking the beautiful harbour.
The hours are seasonal ; June - Sept . Open from 9:00 am daily. Access may also be arranged by appointment.
