Atlantic Compassion Fund
United Way NL COVID-19 Response TIER 2
Application Deadline: Tuesday, April 7, 2020 by Midnight
Homelessness, food insecurity, mental illness, and precarious employment are difficult things to have to experience. As public health measures are being made in response to COVID-19, people who are already vulnerable are facing major disruptions and new risks – and many are in crisis right now.
United Way NL is responding to this crisis with The Atlantic Compassion Fund - TIER 2, intended to help meet basic and immediate needs, reduce the impact of further marginalization as a result of poverty and COVID-19, and bring people back together when the time is right. TIER 2 will be available to registered charities and qualified donees to help serve some of the many people in our Province impacted by this public health crisis as it continues to unfold.
Emergency funding to a maximum of $5,000 is available to cover eligible costs and or expenses such as accommodation and food, personal and hygiene items, wages for additional or existing staff, as well as transportation and delivery costs. Due to the immediacy of the need, applications will be assessed on a first come, first served basis.
Applications must be received no later than midnight tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
